Research Curations
As an independent curator, research is the most important part of my practice and grounds the work itself. Below are examples of the research and inspirations for each of my solo exhibitions.
Pray for Rain (2026)
Self divination in search of meeting myself, Pray for Rain is an undoing. This exhibition is a sobering recount of what I wished my life to be and the reality of what it is. My research, beyond my personal journals, is heavily steeped in literature, children of the Blues, and strangers who have managed to mimic the cries I've shouted during my moments of survival
Boi Like Me (2024)
Boi Like Me is a work in progress as I walk my own path through Black Queer personhood. Diving into the trans masculine, this exhibition explores my gender woes, triumphs, and unanswered questions. The research I gathered in preparation and general curiosity investigates a multitude of mediums that give individual and intimate testimonies from prolific luminaries to the everyday person.
